2011 Bynum-Garig Family Reunion
UPDATE
The 2011 Bynum-Garig Family Reunion is being planned for July
8-10, 2011. The reunion fee of $50 per adult 18 and older is due by April 15, 2011. Please pay as soon as possible
so we can properly plan a great event. Also, please order your family T-shirts. Shirt prices are $5.00 for youth sizes XS-XL; $10.00 for Adult sizes
XS to XL; and $12.00 for Adult sizes 2XL and larger.

Bynum-Garig Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund was kicked off at the reunion on Friday night. We
raised $124.00 in our first fund-raising effort ($119.50 with the 50/50 raffle +
$4.50 in donations). Scholarship committee members will be announced soon,
so put on your thinking caps and help suggest ways we can increase the fund to
help our students. You are encouraged to volunteer your time for this
committee.

The Bynum-Garig Family
The West Baton Rouge Parish (particularly Lukeville) Bynum family is very large. In fact, our great-grandparents, Charles Ed and Rebecca Gibson Bynum, had 14
children. Our grandfather was Charles Bynum, a.k.a. "Manny."
To the union of Charles and Mary Garig Bynum was born 9 children, whom you will learn more about at this site. They were, Edna Bynum Spriggs, Elmon Bynum, Sr., Thaddeus Bynum, Sr., Houston Bynum, Ethel Bynum Stallard, Blanche Bynum, Charles Bynum, Jr., Mary Bynum Williams, and Rebecca Bynum Crockett. Ebony Bynum; The Bynum-Garig grandparent is Ava Bynum; the great grandparent is Delores Bynum Nelson.

Saturday, December 5, 2009. Amber is a descendant of Thaddeus Bynum. Her
parents are Jacob "Craig" Younginer and Angela Donalds Younginer. The Bynum-Garig
grandparent is Gloria Bynum Younginer.
Lalonie Williams, born in Tucson, Arizona on Sunday,
December 6, 2009. Lalonie is a descendant of Mary Bynum Williams. Her parents
are Terrence Williams and Kisha. The Bynum-Garig grandparent is David Williams.
